This all-purpose project includes recreational, residential and retail properties as well as commercial space. As the name suggests, it's a waterfront location.

-Bluewater Island - $1.6 billion
This project, situated nearby the Jumeirah Beach Residence, will be home to the Dubai Eye - the tallest Ferris Wheel in the world. As well as that, there will be retail, residential, hospitality and recreational zones.

-Deira Islands - $3 billion
This is a 15km development that will eventually house serviced apartments, hotels, marinas and mixed-use units. Also planned is a 30,000-seat auditorium.

-The Mall of the World - $6.8 billion
This mega-project will include the world's largest indoor theme park, climate controlled walkways, hotels and serviced apartment complexes. Once completed, it's anticipated that around 180 million visitors will come through the doors every year!
